Green Beans with Double Smoked Bacon and Almonds
(Serves 6-8)Ingredients
| 200 g (1/2 lb) | Double smoked bacon |
| 30 mL (2 tbsp) | Vegetable oil |
| 60 g (¼ cup) | Butter |
| 500 g (1 lb) | Green beans, snipped, blanched |
| 90 g (3 oz) | Sliced almonds, toasted |
| To taste (To taste) | Salt and pepper |
Method
- Slowly pan-sear the double smoked bacon over medium heat until crisp.
- Add the oil, butter and green beans and sauté until cooked.
- Add the almonds and season, reserve for serving.
