Green Beans with Double Smoked Bacon and Almonds

(Serves 6-8)



Ingredients

200 g (1/2 lb) Double smoked bacon
30 mL (2 tbsp) Vegetable oil
60 g (¼ cup) Butter
500 g (1 lb) Green beans, snipped, blanched
90 g (3 oz) Sliced almonds, toasted
To taste (To taste) Salt and pepper
   

Method
  1. Slowly pan-sear the double smoked bacon over medium heat until crisp.
  2. Add the oil, butter and green beans and sauté until cooked.
  3. Add the almonds and season, reserve for serving.
