Guacamole
(Makes about 1 cup – 250 mL)Ingredients
| 1 pc | Avocado ripe, pit and skin removed |
| 60 mL (¼ cup) | Red vine tomato, small dice |
| 5 mL (1 tsp) | Lime juice |
| 15 mL (1 tbsp) | Mayonnaise |
| To taste | Salt |
| To taste | Fresh ground black pepper |
Method
- Coarsely mash avocado using a fork. Add remaining ingredients.
- Season to taste. Serve immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to use.
- Less salt is required when using lemon or lime.
- The lime will also preserve the green of the avocado.
